  • IT / Operations Specialist
  • The IT/Operations specialist's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the company's end user and production computer resources. This includes hands-on end-user support and day-to-day administration of computer, computer networks and hardware, telephone system, software programs, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of various application and system software packages.

    Ideal candidate should carry out but is not limited to the following duties:

    • Operations management for data center and corporate offices
    • Support of Windows and Linux-based services
    • Operations monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Liasing with staff at all levels
    • Problem analysis and making recommendations
    • Configuration, monitoring, and management of XenServer, VMWare services
    • Data center on call
    • Database administration, including backups maintenance
    • Web site maintenance and support
    • Network support including corporate phone systems
    • Network security
    • Security policy and procedure adherence
    • Willingness and flexibity to take on additional work responsibilities as needed
    Experience:
    • Experience supporting internet-facing consumer and business 24 x 7 services.
    • Experience supporting Linux-based services.
    Qualifications:
    • College degree required (BA/BS)
