Director of Business Development
The director of Business Development will be responsible for
Directing, establishing, maintaining, and executing the overall policies and
goals for the company's offerings to specific target markets . Identifies
potential business partners and negotiates agreements. Coordinates and
negotiates with the product development, marketing and/or sales group.
Requires an MBA or a Master's degree in a related area and at least 7 years
of experience in the field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Responsible for delivering revenue producing partnerships
for the company's consumer solutions.
- Develop corporate wide sales presentations and materials that links
with the company's solutions to the business strategy
- Creates, implements and manages sales programs for targeted channel
partners, like affinity groups (e.g. Benefits companies,. e-marketplaces,
insurance companies)
- Ensures accountability, status, progress, measurement and timely
reporting for business development activities
- Responsible for P&L for the assigned partner categories
Ideal Background & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and hands-on Sales and Business
Development executive with excellent operational skills who has sold
consumer data, credit and information solutions through various distribution
channels. The candidate must demonstrate direct accountability for revenue
growth to a minimum of $15M-$25M within 3years.The candidate must understand
the consumer credit services (e.g., credit reports, credit scores) and the
data clearinghouse model of service delivery.
- 7+ years sales and business development excellence
- Experience with selling Information Services directly to consumers
and/or through distribution partners nationally and internationally.
- Has closed multi-year, six figure contracts and has familiarity with
high transaction volumes (having a comfort level with large #s of
transactions that need to be reconciled against data) and online web based
applications.
- Experience creating standardized contracts (terms and conditions).
- Has P&L and budgetary management responsibility in the $1-5 M range.
