Web Developer

The Web Developer is a senior level candidate who can also act as the team leader, with the ability to work with other developers and designers to manage requirements, design, development and deployment issues.

Required:

  • Must have minimum of 5 years of programming and analysis experience, be a senior developer that can act as a team lead.

Role and Responsibility:

  • Experienced in software development life cycle from beginning to end.
  • Produces required portal functional specification, design documentation, application code, and software documentation.
  • Applies appropriate technical, industry, and functional knowledge to all work efforts.
  • Analyzes, develops, and tests simple to moderate modules (both new and changes to existing programs) from design specifications, ability to act as a team lead.
  • Ensures the finished product meets the design objectives and any other appropriate criteria associated with the original request.
  • Produces complete and accurate documentation for work based on current documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to work with other developers and designers, manage to drive out the requirements, design, development, and deployment issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have senior-level skills in J2EE
  • Must have experience on multiple projects building internet/intranet applications, utilizing J2EE and related technologies.
  • Must have experience with open source development frameworks and tools.
  • Must have strong experience using design patterns such as Portlet specification framework, MVC, tag libraries,
  • Experienced in Application and Web servers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication is a must

Skills Required - Sr. J2EE/Java Programmer Analyst:

  • Programming: Java / J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring and Hibernate, JDBC, JNDI, JMS, Tag Libraries, and XML and portlet specification frameworks e.g. Liferay or JPortal.
  • Application and Web Server: JBOSS/Tomcat, APACHE.
  • Database: Oracle 9i, MS SQL server, MySQL
  • Open Source: Hibernate, ANT, SOAP, and XDoclet optional.
  • Tools: Eclipse.
  • Operating Systems: Windows and Unix/Linux optional.
  • Techniques: Portlet, MVC, Design Patterns, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Process: SCRUM, Agile Processes, experience with full Project Life Cycle (SDLC).
